By authorising Your Family History Service to carry out research you agree to these terms and conditions which form a contract between Your Family History Service and yourself.
After a free initial assessment I will advise you of the likelihood of success in tracing your family history. If you’d like research to commence, I will email you a confirmation of the project along with an invoice. A non refundable deposit is payable of 50% with the remainder payable before final delivery of the project.
Payment can be made via bank transfer, cheque, debit or credit card using Paypal.
Payments for services with a total cost under £200 must be paid in advance.
In order to get the best value from the research package you purchase please provide (if available) any prior research to avoid research being repeated.
Once research is completed I will email you the final invoice which must be paid 21 days from the date of issue of the invoice. Once paid I will send all documents to you electronically via the email you supply. All research packages other than the Seedling Package includes USB memory stick or CD if requested.
Birth and marriage certificates are priced separately at cost price, these may be required in order to proof family relationships, they cost £6 each. Any purchase of certificates will be agreed with you beforehand.
Research packages include time spent researching ancestors, correlation of research, analysis of research, plus reporting time. USB or CD, postage and packaging. The price of packages reflect the cost per hour and business costs including but not limited to subscription based archive services, insurance, marketing costs, website hosting, tax and National Insurance.
I do not undertake work where there are legal disputes or disputes likely. (for example disputes regarding heirs) I will not be liable for work undertaken in this situation.
I reserve the right to decline a project.
